Showcasing Scotland at it’s finest, from Balloch to Inverness, with stunning views of Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park, cycling under Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest peak and traversing the side of Loch Ness, home of the famous yet elusive Nessie.
Departing from the pretty village of Balloch, also known as the gateway to Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, to Inverness, “capital” of the Highlands, the route winds its way through the beautiful rolling hills and forests of the Trossachs, passing tranquil lochs and secluded wooded glens. It’s easy to see why they call the Trossachs ‘The Highlands in Miniature’.
Later days are spent following the Great Glen where you’ll switch between tarmac and forest trails, traffic-free cycle paths and canal towpaths. Our final day ends the trip in style as we take on the classic Scottish road cycling challenge of Glendoe before continuing to vibrant Inverness.
